This is for all the people who say the simpsons suck compared to the simpsons past. the simpsons are definitely a comedy, but the writers try to do more then that they try to entertain. what makes them special is they make every episode different. a lot of people try to look for one specific thing or genre in every episode. what i do is i sit down and try to figure out what kind of episode it will be, emotional or maybe a real laugher and sometimes romantic or even sad. just dont focus on one type of genre. try to be open minded.
