MaxPower, although I sorta agree with you in saying that people who constantly go on about how shite the show is are annoying as hell, that does not take away anyone's right to see problems with the show...being a fan, being a TRUE fan, means that you can see the good and the bad - and except both. As fans we realise that Groening isn't God - and the writers aren't perfect. And so we can constructively comment, both negatively and positively on any episode.

I wasn't a fan of this particular episode, but am not condemning the whole seasons or anything.
True fans do not wear rose-coloured glasses while watching the show. :)

Ya know what really annoys me though? When people randomly come on saying -
"Oi, admin! yeh, er, this site sucks! all the episodes are dead! whinge whinge whinge! God - now that really grates my cheese! Some people are so ungrateful and spoiled - it's not even funny. They think that someone just randomly waved their wand making this site happen...and that it has to be perfect in every way - that no dead episodes can slip through the cracks...how CHILDISH. Some guy worked very hard on all of this and the ungrateful attitude of some people is downright APPALLING. It's a free site, for God's sake - like it or don't let the door hit you on the way out!

So anyhoo, to the admin (aka JoeCool apparently) - superb site. May the great, nay, AMAZING work continue!

There was a comment made here about the Simspons influence on a younger audience. I've been watching since I was a toddler. Teaching children to swear?

Look. When it comes to parents complaining about the influence TV and games have on their kids. the only ones to blame are themselves. Don't let your kids be exposed to things you don't agree with. Simple solution.

VERY Right. This has to be a tribute to the movie. I actually like this episode more because of it. Any one complaining should check out Heavenly Creatures w/ Kate Winslet and it should satisfy you. Also I think heavenly creatures reminds me of the factual story of two young girls I just can't remember where I read about it...and they may have killed themselves or their moms, I could be wrong I can't remember but nonetheless I appreciate the episode for the reference.

However, Season 20 has really just...killed a bit of my soul. I mean, from Bart being a total wimp against those rich kids in "Double, Double, Boy in Trouble" or Homer being stupidly racist in "Mypods and Boomsticks," not to mention the constant product placement within the episodes such as the M&Ms, Facebook, and iPods, has really drain the series' power and life.

But this episode takes the cake of shame. For one, they keep introducing new characters that are never seen again *cough Colin, Simpsons Movie cough* for the sake of one episode, and then destroy the episode with them. Juliet's accent was unneeded and made her sound pretentious, and they didn't need Marge being so...demented with Lisa having a friend.

But what really burns me up is the message this episode sends. It makes it seem like imagination is a bad thing, and those with an active imagination are always psychos. It gives writers and artists bad names! And there was not a single thing in the episode to counter that point. Kearney also totally broke character, which was really stupid.

It also made Lisa look like a lesbian, which while there's nothing wrong with that of course, it's just uncalled for in the series. It's obvious that the writers are just scraping the bottom of the barrel for ideas to quirk the characters. Really, the 8th Season Lisa would be outraged at the shoddy work that has become The Simpsons.

the only good thing was the FOB part...I love Fall Out Boy, but if their version of the Simpsons theme song in the credits was the best bit about this episode, then something is really going wrong lol
