that was a nice quote about what's actually happening with the simpsons... "kids don't like references they have to look up on wikipedia"... those references to the 60s and 70s that used to appear in the older episodes were amazing!!! now it's all about smartphones, apple, facebook... that opening where they had some crappy "trendy" song that I'm sure the kids love instead of the normal theme... I suppose it makes sense to keep up with the times for the new generation but is it really so necessary?
Oh and this episode isn't too bad ^_^

I don t think that Simpson has been out of ideas, I think for some reason they felt they had to make the program more "adult", evidence that, for example, "D'OH!" disappeared, "are you litle" Also, it is a shame because Simpson was it! the typical dysfunctional family. Bart seems that is no longer a rebel on this season. They have so many characters to make new stories and not profit, "disco stu, crazy cat lady, the army man etc etc.. One more thing, Carl, Lenny and Barney ... where are they? but just the fact to still making new episodes after 20 year is perfect and I just want to continue with this art

@numnum i agree with what you are saying they have ran out of ideas becuase they been since the Dinosaurs roamed the earth. if they would let us viewers send them our ideas to the show theyh might have a better shot for more creative shows besides having a guest star every week.

i dont understand guys, what u see here so funny?
i saw all the simpsons episodes and the new ones are just rarely good ones.
this one was totly boring like shit. and i actually hate episodes about crusty or sideshowbob. grrr thats boooring,.. i like it about homer and the other simpsons family characters.
that was AGAIN episode about how simpsons kids got crusty back. LAME!!! it was done few times before! what is wrong with the writers?! gosh. i was waiting whole week for this?!
cant u get original nice ideas? its that so hard?
heres example: homer is trying to win worlds best title of chess player and his final opponent is flanders, while marge buys... um.. lets say a hybrid car... idk.. lisa would be pretty happy about it i bet. but not lets just stay with 2 subjects as allways does the writers. In mean time, Bart and milhouse gets a job at starbucks.
see? was that so hard?
gosh, dont make one more stupid episode about how kids save crusty, by even showing FAKE crustys past that has NOTHING to do with early old episodes when crustys past about how it was becoming clown, already was shown!!
